Autism Evaluation in Illinois
More ways to get answers are coming for Illinois families. Beginning January 1, 2028, Illinois law will allow specially trained speech-language pathologists to diagnose autism for eligible children under age 3 in the Illinois Early Intervention Program. The law applies when a child has no known co-occurring medical conditions.
